Location: Disaster’s Edge Environmental Education Center in the 1889 Park located in Sidman

Teams of five high school students (Approx. 20 teams from 7 local schools) compete in field testing using their knowledge in five topic areas – Soils and Land Use, Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Wildlife, and Current Issues. A current environmental issue is chosen each year for the focus of this station. This year’s topic is titled Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future. The winning team from Cambria County will go on to compete for scholarships and prizes in the PA State Envirothon competition held later in May.
