Cambria County 2024 Envirothon

It was a gorgeous day for the Cambria County Envirothon on Thursday, May 2nd! Approximately 20 teams of high school students from seven Cambria County schools participated in this year’s event. At the Envirothon, teams of high school students competed in field testing using their knowledge in five topic areas – Soils and Land Use, Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Wildlife, and Current Issues. Sponsors for the local event included: Cambria County Conservation District, Robindale Energy Services, Vale Wood Farms, Allied Milk Producers, PA Game Commission, PA Fish & Boat Commission, PA Bureau of Forestry, Darlisa Pizza, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Amazing job by everyone involved!

First Place: Glendale - Force of Nature: Georgia Rice, Noah Detwiler, Ashton Brink, Caitlin Jasper, Bryson Davis.

2nd Place: Penn Cambria - Chris Oravec, Cody Farabaugh, Austin Gray, Caleb Pisczek, Sophia Rabatin, Brian Wu.

3rd Place: Northern Cambria 2 - Marybeth Kerr, Emma Neff, Sophi Williams, Taylee Pala, Hannah Krug, Lillian Statler.
